Product Review- Conserve Environmentally Friendly Cleaning Products
We recently received samples of a new environmentally friendly cleaning product line, called Conserve. Here is a review of two of their green cleaning products.
Conserve cleaning products come as a tablet that dissolves in warm water. They provide multiple tablets for each spray bottle, therefore conserving on plastic that was used to make the bottles. I like this idea because I would rather just reuse a spray bottle than have to purchase another package that included another bottle. It just makes sense to reuse bottles! Each tablet dissolves in 32 oz of warm water, only taking a few minutes.
I tried the glass cleaner at the office– it did a great job of cleaning smudges and handprints off of glass windows. After spraying the glass cleaner there was little to no dripping on the window. Though the scent wasn’t very strong, it was definitely not offensive or chemical-like.
The bathroom cleaner worked well in the sink and also had a pleasant fragrance. It was not as effective for cleaning the bathtub, though I do have an old clawfoot bathtub that stains easily. My general observation was that it worked fine for light duty cleaning, but if you’re looking for a bathroom cleaner with more power, you may want to opt for something else.
Green cleaning products are great for general cleaning to reduce the amount of chemicals released into the air- a benefit especially for sensitive users or for areas that children use, such as schools or daycares.
